Bridge School

Community Development Partners

Many children attend government schools because of their family's current financial situation. The schools are at a low quality standard and the teachers do not teach the best way possible. As a result, children lose their interest in studies and in most cases; parents are not at home to assist them in order to get better grades. Lack of accountability at home means these children are left to wander around after school, gaining bad company, bad language and bad habits. They end up failing year after year until their parents believe there is no point in sending them to school, instead they are sent off to work for the family at the age of 10-12 years. This is how most cases of child labour start.

REAP hopes to assist these children by providing them with a hot meal after school (possibly the only meal they get in a day) and guiding them in their studies. This will build a strong desire in the children to do well in school and to aim towards a better future. Not only this but the children begin to get rid of bad company, bad language and bad habits.

REAP needs funds to start this ministry in the villages and slums of Asia.

All it takes is $1 a day to support a child and change a life.
